Tour to Slovenia and Austria in April

15 March 2017

In April 2017 The Norrköping Symphony Orchestra goes on European tour with concerts in Slovenia and Austria. The concert program includes music by Mahler, Bruckner, Mendelssohn and Beethoven. Conductor is Austrian Florian Krumpöck who, in addition to his successful career as a conductor, also is a celebrated pianist who regularly gives concerts in Europe’s most prestigious concert halls. Since his debut as a conductor in 2006, he has worked with many of the most prominent orchestras in Europe, the US and Scandinavia. This is his first collaboration with Norrköping Symphony Orchestra.

- We are very pleased for the invitation to this tour, says the orchestra’s artistic director and manager Karin Veres. We travel with an extensive concert program that really shows off the orchestra’s qualities. The invitation came in January and it feels almost unique to be able to plan a tour abroad in the middle of the season, says Karin Veres. It feels great to be able to catch this opportunity.
